Immigration Psychological Assessment

Clinical psychological assessments can sometimes be used for immigration purposes to support various visa applications. These may include (but are not limited to) the following. Please note that some of these assessments require referral by an appropriate solicitor and cannot be supported by Medicare.

Protection visa
Psychological reports can assess the presence of trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, depression, or anxiety associated with experiences in the applicant’s home country.

Partner visa
Psychological reports can evaluate the mental health impacts of domestic or family violence.

University report/support letter
For international students experiencing mental health challenges, psychological reports can assist with special consideration requests and, in some cases, visa extensions.

Medical waivers
Psychological reports can outline treatment needs and help demonstrate that the costs to the Australian healthcare system would be reasonable.
